I've flown this sim for several years without any problems. I have been
a way from it a couple of months. Recently, I added the Phoenix scenery
package form Megacity. Now I am finding all flights take much longer
to load, I am getting intermittant flashes of light across the screen
and the sim will freeze for 15-20seconds at a time and then resume. I
have a P4 2.8 with 1gig of ram and a NV4600ti card with 128meg ram. I
have not changed any settings and anti-aliasing is off. I have not
changed video drivers in a long time. Any help would be most
appreciated.

First of all, update your video drivers.
Then we may talk again.

Thanks for your reply. I did as you suggested and instaalled G force
driver 91.31 which is the most current. I now only get flashes of
light when the program is loading and transient screen distortion when
leaving the program but, thankfully, no flashes or pauses when actually
flying. This is a huge improvement. Would be interested in your
comments, Thanks.

Try one or both the following:

1) If you have additional sceneries (3rd party) play a bit with the scenery
levels
Settings/scenery library/......and move them up and/or down.Lower
levels for
small areas sceneries and higher level for large areas : ex: the
scenery
for Dallas airport should have a level smaller than the Texas scenery.
2) Try to disable the option: Menù Options/display/ hardware/render to
rexture.
3) Activate the antiliasing from the card options and not in the sim.
Hope will help.
