This just in, BREAKING NEWS, NASA TV carried a conversation where
ground informed the shuttle crew that they have found no significicant
issue with the right OMS pod (refering to the blanker anomaly) and that
the Right OMS pod was cleared for re-entry.

(They did not state the shuttle was cleared for re-entry, only the right
oms pod). I suspect that they need to do more investigation on the rest
of the shutle,s imagery before declaring the whole shuttle fit to re-enter ?

As I recall from a prior day, wing and nose leading edges and belly
tiles all were cleared. With the right oms pod cleared, I think the
only thing else I heard mentioned was a ding near one of the windows.
