If a TAL abort had to be declared... say, S/E TAL 103 or 104 to (let's
say) Zaragoza, would the ET be jettisoned at the usual time?

Where would the ET end up?

(I understand that 103 is more likely to lead to a bailout? While 104 is
more likely to guarantee a safer chance at a landing.)

How long into the flight before the S/E TAL 103 window opens?

What about time before S/E TAL 104 opens?

(I realize exact numbers are probably mission-specific due to differing
profiles and selection of abort sites, but curious about ballpark numbers.)

I understand S/E TAL 103 window opens at roughly 5500 fps Vi -- around
how long into the ascent is that? Three minutes?

How many fps for S/E TAL 104? 8200 fps? (Ditto for how long into ascent)

What would the crew fly or do if they had two engines fail *prior* to
the required inertial velocity to safely make the prime TAL site on SE

Point the Orbiter towards unpopulated areas and work on bailout?
