When shuttle does its roll shortly after launch, is it an aileron roll
or are the main engines gimballed? Do SRB nozzles move too?

Most of the control authority is provided by the SRB gimbals, though the
SSME gimbals are also used. The aerosurfaces are not used for control
during ascent, only for load relief.

to heads up long after the SRB's are gone (or are OMS and RCS used for
that?).
