NASA competes Private Enterprise.

Trying to improve their image with kids and young people, NASA decided that
barn storming and stunt flying kids might help. To the college-age winners
of a competition to come come up with the most inventive "zero-gee"
experiments, NASA decided to purchase them a ride on their very own
uncertified experimental DC-9. It is uncertified isn't it? I could be
wrong?

To improve NASA's image with the general public, NASA then announce that the
cost per flight for the students was only $24,000 per flight. I wonder if
NASA is going to start teaching college-age economic students a "NASA
Economics" class too. I doubt that number is accurate for true cost of the
flight. Let see, did it include the cost of the aircraft, modifications,
hanger space, fuel, personnel, certification, ...

NASA should have rented a certified aircraft, like this one

to fly children on. I imagine that Zero-G would probably rent the entire
aircraft.

Shame on NASA, for taking business away from Zero-G.
